Ted Lasso

Ted Lasso has been among Apple TVs most watched shows since its first season released back in 2020. Now four seasons in, the fan favorite comedy is still touching the hearts and minds of audiences around the world.

Ted Lasso follows a middle-aged college football coach from Kansas. Lasso takes a job as a soccer Coach in London as he and his wife face the possibility, and eventually the reality, of divorce. The beloved Apple show focuses heavily on mental health awareness and toxic masculinity in the first season, while later seasons also explore classism, racism, sexuality, gender, grief, redemption, humanity, and other sensitive topics. Ted Lasso does an excellent job of balancing comedy and incredibly powerful, raw emotions to keep watchers engaged and moved.

The show's latest season has garnered some complaints for dropping a lot of characters when switching Lasso to a women's soccer team. While many fan favorite characters didn't appear on screen this season, the execution of introducing new characters was well done; It didn't feel forced and they were fun to watch.

Overall, Ted Lasso pulled off yet another successful season of gut wrenching emotions and comedy gold. While the show has evolved throughout its life, it has never once left the viewer disappointed, it is truly a one of a kind masterpiece.
